SERVICES
The process starts with communication. Bringing in a sketch, tech pack or old garment we can start to draft your pattern. Once we have the pattern cut we make a toile of the pattern out of a cheaper fabric that has the same weight and drape as the fabric you will use in your final design. Toiles are a great starting point as we can mark, pin and adjust them to make alterations to the pattern. If the pattern has been altered drastically we sometimes make an additional toile.

Once we are confident in the pattern we then cut the pattern in the final fabric and finish it to the manufacturing standard. The sample can be used for photoshoots pre-launch or as a sample to send your manufacturer.
We also offer small production runs, grading, tech packs and consultation sessions.

At The Pattern Room we provide our clients with expertly crafted production-ready-patterns. With vast industry experience and a keen eye for detail, we
digitally cut patterns from our London studio. We are dedicated to producing a solid foundation for your collection to evolve from.​
TOILES
​Part of the pre-production process is to create a toile out of a low-cost fabric with a similar weight and drape to ​the materials you will use to create your final piece. Toileing the garment creates the opportunity to make amendments to the structure of the garment before fabricating the piece in select materials.
SAMPLING
​We sample garments to a high-quality standard. With an array of finishes to choose from, you can use our samples to set the standard of finishing you want to go into manufacturing with. We will sample your garment using the materials you've chosen to assemble the finished piece. Opening up the opportunity to review your design pre-production. At The Pattern Room we handcraft all samples in England.
GRADING
Whether you are developing a new collection, expanding an existing range, or preparing patterns for manufacture, we can grade your patterns with accuracy and attention to detail. Our expertise ensures consistency throughout your size range, helping you achieve a professional fit.
We offer tech packs, laying out visual and written information instructing the manufacturer on the garment's assembly and finishings. We communicate the construction of the garment using the knowledge gained through working on the factory floor and pattern cutting. Ensuring all information required is communicated to factory machinists.
