PATTERN DEVELOPMENT

SERVICES
The process starts with communication. Bringing in a sketch, tech pack or old garment we can start to draft your pattern. Once we have the pattern cut we make a toile of the pattern out of a cheaper fabric that has the same weight and drape as the fabric you will use in your final design. Toiles are a great starting point as we can mark, pin and adjust them to make alterations to the pattern. If the pattern has been altered drastically we sometimes make an additional toile.
Once we are confident in the pattern we then cut the pattern in the final fabric and finish it to the manufacturing standard. The sample can be used for photoshoots pre-launch or as a sample to send your manufacturer.
We also offer small production runs and consultation sessions.

PATTERN
CUTTING
Our core service is manually cutting Production Ready Patterns. We draw and cut patterns from a tech pack, sketch or garment.
TOILES
Once you are patterns created, we will stitch up a mock-up garment from a cheaper fabric with a similar weight and drape to your chosen fabric. This gives you the opportunity to make amendments to the structure of the garment before going into sampling.
SAMPLING
Once you're happy with any amendments made to your pattern and toile you will then move onto the sampling stage. This is the final stage of development, ensuring your design works with your chosen fabric and trims. All the samples made with us are made in England.
